Meet Gus, a 1-year-old Pointer mix and a wonderful bundle of love and energy! He followed our previous adopter and her dogs home one day—proof of just how much he loves both people and other pups (with a little shy hesitation at first). Gus is about 40 lbs and has a great balance of personality—he’s not a big barker, but he’s got a good one when it counts. This sweet boy is the total package. He loves to cuddle, give kisses, and lay at your feet, but he’s just as happy running, chasing toys, and roughhousing. He would do best in a home with another playful dog and people who can provide a firm, consistent hand in training. We’re making great progress with housetraining and “off!” for jumping, and he’s currently working on “sit.” Gus is great with most dogs, uninterested in cats, and he loves people—especially little ones. He may take a little time to warm up to bigger adults, but once he does, he’s all love.
