About Bear
Bear tips the scales at 60lbs and comes as a Lab/Chow mix with plenty of personality. He’s a solid three years old, neutered, and crate trained. Indoors, Bear keeps things pretty calm, prefers the floor to the couch, and shadows his person from room to room looking for some hands-on attention. Most house training is in place, though sometimes he marks. Outside, Bear can scale a four-foot fence, so secure containment is a must. Dog-friendly and happy for company, Bear is still a question mark with kids or cats. He’s lived outdoors but handled winter inside just fine and would likely settle in as an indoor companion given the choice. Leash walks aren’t his favorite, but he’s working on it. His vaccines need updating, but he keeps current on monthly preventatives and sports a microchip for extra peace of mind. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Bear
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bear, being a Lab/Chow mix, typically does well in homes that offer both indoor and secure outdoor spaces. He enjoys companionship and prefers being inside with his person, so a family environment with room to relax is ideal.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Lab/Chow mixes like Bear appreciate regular access to a secure yard for exercise and play, but they shouldn't be left outside unsupervised as they can climb fences like Bear does. An active home with daily walks or play sessions is best.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Lab/Chow mixes can be good with children when properly introduced and supervised, but since Bear’s comfort level with kids is unknown, any introductions should be gradual and thoughtful.
