Bonjour! My name is Shayla, and I'm a torti and white girl kitty. I'm a young adult who is a bit nervous here at the shelter. There are just so many sounds and smells I'm not used to! I don't mind if you pet me, just go a bit slowly and be patient with me--I would never hurt you, but I might be a little scared or shaky at first. I know that when my furever family finds me, I'm going to have the best life with them, though, because they'll love me and I'll be safe! Speaking of safe, I do like to have a box to curl up in so I feel more secure. I like toys, and I have also just learned that I love this treat called a 'churu' which is this delicious meat paste that I can lick right up! It is OM NOM NOMMY, and if you have some of that to share, I will start to trust you a lot faster! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
