Hi, I'm Halsey! I'm a female Husky–Shepherd mix, about six months old, and I'm just starting to figure out how awesome life can be. Not too long ago, I was found as a stray on a really cold day... but now I'm dreaming of nothing but warm, happy days ahead with my forever family. Since moving into a home, everything feels brand new and exciting! I've learned that couches are surprisingly fun (and comfy!), other dogs are awesome playmates, and toys? Wow... still figuring those out, but I think I love them. Oh—and don't even get me started on dog treats... those are very cool. I'm still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. People used to make me nervous, but I'm discovering that they can be kind, gentle, and full of love. With a little patience and reassurance, I'm becoming braver every day. I would really love a home with another dog friend to play with—having a buddy helps me feel more confident and makes playtime even more fun! I haven't met any cats yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about them. And as long as kids are kind and respectful, I think we'll get along just great. I'm looking for a family who will help me keep learning, growing, and feeling safe. In return, I promise to give you my whole heart, lots of playful energy, and the sweetest companionship.
