Wingstop is a beautiful brown tabby kitten with adorable bobcat-like ear tufts. She was very loved in her previous home and is now taking some time to settle in at the shelter. Right now she finds comfort snuggling up with her roommate during the day. Her former family says she absolutely loves cheap, noisy toys and has a very sweet nature. With a little time, encouragement, and maybe a wet food bribe or two, we know Wingstop will grow into her confident self again. She's already starting to show her gentle, thoughtful personality - sniffing hands, offering slow blinks, and even placing a soft little paw on you when she's feeling brave. She's enjoyed pets from calm visitors (including older children) and is clearly curious about connecting, just at her own pace. Wingstop has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Wingstop can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions?
