MEDICAL: Per exam on 3/27: "Recheck for non-regenerative anemia and weight loss noted on 3/19. Eating well, no significant concerns. Objective: BAR, intermittently fractious Ambulatory x4, no lameness Assessment: - Anemia, improving - Weight loss, resolved Plan PCV/TS: 28/7.1" Per exam on 3/22: "Pt was fractious when we tried to put into carrier for exam, sedated by sx team. EXAM BCS: 3/9 BEHAVIOR: sedate - mm pink and moist, <2 s. No obvious oral masses/lesions on cursory examination. Missing majority of dentition - Diffusely thickened intestines, no palpable masses - Mod muscle atrophy diffusely. Unable to eval amb status d/t sedation. - No distinct regions of swelling detected. Front paws declawed ASSESSMENT -Non-regenerative anemia -Diffusely thickened intestines: r/o IBD, gastroenteritis, GI lymphoma -Weight loss since intake: r/o, inappropriate energy intake, malabsorption/maldigestion, parasitism, gastroenteropathy, PLN, neoplasia, CKD, cardiac disease, chronic infection/inflammation, other -Periodontal disease PLAN Diagnostics: -IH CBC/chem/lytes/T4: HCT 19.5% (L), MONO 1.27 (H), Plt 128 (L) w/ normal PCT, likely adequate platelet mass), rest NSF -FeLV/FIV: Neg -3V AXR: No obvious obstruction or masses detected. Digesta present in stomach and intestines" Per exam on 3/16: "- Female spayed - Good remaining teeth, but missing bottom left k9, missing many cheek teeth - Declawed in front - Dirty, waxy ears" BEHAVIORAL: Per staff on 3/27: "I went to say hello to Stirling, and she was sitting near the back of her kennel. She approached me slowly and allowed me to pet her head, soliciting pets with her head when I stopped. She allowed me to pet her all over, but especially loves head pets & chin scritches. After I finished, she walked up to the kennel door & brushed her head up against it to seek affection. Sweet girl!"
