Meet Killua — the playful, featherchasing sweetheart who's ready to blossom with the right family. Killua is an older kitten, just under 1 year old, with a gentle spirit and a big love for other animals. He adores the resident cats in his foster home and has become quite the playful little shadow, joining in their games and learning from their confidence. He's also doing wonderfully with polite dogs who respect his space. This boy is a toy enthusiast through and through — feathers, wand toys, anything that moves, he's on it with laserfocused joy. While he took his time warming up to his foster family, treats, patience, and a calm environment have helped him come out of his shell more every day. Once he trusts you, his sweetness shines through in the most heartmelting ways. Killua and his sister, Alluka, came to us through a TNVR program run by an independent trapper. But once it became clear they were far too friendly to return outdoors, our rescue stepped in to help them find the loving home they deserve. These two have been through everything together — from surviving outside to learning how to be indoor kittens — and their bond is unmistakable. They play together, comfort each other, and rely on one another's presence to feel safe. Because of that, Killua and Alluka will need to be adopted as a pair. Keeping bonded siblings together isn't just adorable — it supports their socialization, reduces stress, and leads to happier, more confident cats longterm. We're still learning more about these two sweet babies and will continue updating their profiles as their personalities unfold. But one thing is already clear: Killua is a gentle, playful, deeply lovable kitten who just needs a patient family willing to give him time, toys, and the security of staying with his sister. Adoption Process Our adoption process helps match pets with their families. After submitting your cat or dog application, we contact references, and schedule a virtual or in-person home visit. We encourage virtual or in-person meet and greets with your potential new companion. Once everything is approved, we celebrate as your new furry friend officially becomes part of your family! Adoption Policies Out of State adoptions are possible for the right match but dependent on transport capabilities. At this time our adoptions are limited to applicants who are 18 or older.
