Meet Mildred Mildred's story began in a hoarding situation in Mauston, but she's ready to leave her past behind and find a loving, patient home to call her own. This sweet, mature girl is the definition of a "worth-the-wait" companion. At first, Mildred may be a little shy as she takes in new surroundings-but give her time, and you'll see her true personality shine. Once she decides you're her person, she becomes an affectionate, chatty snuggle bug who isn't afraid to let you know when it's time for attention. Her signature move? A dramatic flop onto her side to politely (but very clearly!) request belly rubs. Mildred gets along wonderfully with other cats and has even formed a special bond with the resident dog in her foster home, greeting them with gentle head bumps and sweet little nuzzles. As a senior lady, Mildred prefers a slower pace of life. She does have some stiffness in her hind legs, but she's made great progress with joint support and still gets around just fine. She may take life a bit easier these days, but that just means more time for cozy cuddles and quiet companionship. Mildred would thrive in a calm, understanding home with someone willing to give her the time she needs to blossom.
