About Marmalade
Meet Marmalade. Born around February 1, 2024, this orange tabby boy is as warm, comforting, and easy to love as his name suggests. Marmalade is a friendly, well-adjusted cat who has done wonderfully with men, women, children, and even strangers. He's the kind of cat who will greet you at the door like you've been gone for years, happily accept pets, and then settle in nearby to keep you company. He's affectionate without being over-the-top, striking that perfect balance between loving companion and independent lounge expert. He has a playful side, too, and enjoys batting around his favorite toy mouse or engaging in a little hand-swatting during playtime. It's all in good fun-he's not aggressive, just occasionally enthusiastic, and it's part of his charm. Most of the time, though, Marmalade is fairly chill and content to nap on the bed, relax in a cozy spot, or simply be near his people. If Marmalade had a job, he would absolutely be a nanny. He has a gentle, watchful nature and seems to keep an eye on everything-and everyone-around him, including his longtime companion Melba. The two have been together for years, raising kittens and sharing life, and while they're not inseparable, he clearly looks out for her and enjoys her presence. He would be very happy to go to a home with Melba if possible. Marmalade has a few simple preferences: he loves being pet, enjoys dried salmon skin treats, prefers chicken or turkey in his wet food, and isn't particularly interested in belly rubs. Give him a comfortable place to nap, a perch where he can supervise the household, and a little space to stretch his legs when the mood strikes, and he'll be perfectly content. His ideal home is one filled with warmth, soft places to rest, and people to share his days with. Marmalade is the kind of cat who quietly becomes part of your routine, your home, and your heart without ever demanding the spotlight.
