About Gravy

Location: Baldwin, MN Hello, future family and friends! My name is Gravy and I am the sweetest boy you will ever meet. I have not had the best start to life I came to Minnesota from the Pine Ridge Reservation. When I was found I was trying to eat from a trash pile with 4 other dogs. I say trying because I was in a lot of pain from the porcupine quills that were in my face making it very difficult to eat. Since coming into rescue I have had many removed and am doing much better. Now it is just a waiting game for me to fully heal and for my fur to grow back in. Currently I am living with my foster family and learning how to be a dog and what it means to enjoy life. There are times that I am still unsure and go to my foster mom or foster canine siblings for reassurance. I think that in my forever home I would love to have another pup to help me continue to build up my confidence. Every day I am getting braver though, I went into the scary basement the other day and my foster mom was so proud! I am kennel trained and house trained only having 1 accident since I came to my foster family. I would love to be able to sleep in bed with my future family as I prefer not to be in my kennel but as long as I get my treat when I go in, I do not put up a fight. I have mixed feelings about the bath. It is a very strange experience but I get the zoomies afterwards and show off how much better I feel! Not only am I a super handsome boy but I also have the SOFTEST fur. One of my favorite things is to get butt scratches. I have done really well with understanding what is a toy for me and what is a leave it. I LOVE toys! Bones, stuffies, balls or squeaky toys it doesn't matter I will play with them all! I am still a young lad who is learning about manners and not jumping on people when I am excited so as much as I think I would be best friends with a small human I might jump on them and scare them but just know it is out of love! There are these birds in the back yard my foster mom calls chickens. So far I have been curious about them but have not actually chased. So, I do think that with proper introductions and supervision I could learn to live with smaller animals such as cats. I would love to meet my future family and finally live the life I deserve. If you are interested in adopting me or even just being friends fill out an application! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
