About Tankbig Beautiful Boy
****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Animals older than six months are spayed or neutered. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because Texas is overflowing with unwanted dogs. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, or any of our animals, please send an email to h4mpounddogs@gmail.com **** TANK is LOCATED in HICO, TX Looking for a big dog to go for walks or swimming with? Perhaps, Thank is the dogs for you. Meet Tank: Your Future Hiking & Swimming Buddy! Tank is a stunning German Shepherd who is looking for a leader to show him the ropes of the "good life." Found as a stray right on the city limits line, Tank is leaving his past behind and looking forward to a lifetime of adventure. A Natural Water Dog: If you love the outdoors, Tank is your guy! We recently took him to the local creek, and he was in absolute heaven. He jumped right in, splashed around, and showed us just how much he loves the water. He’s still working on the "graceful exit" (he hasn't quite mastered the post-swim shake-off yet!), but his pure joy is infectious. He’s the perfect companion for a summer at the lake or trips to the park. Training & Socializing Tank is a strong, enthusiastic boy. He walks on a leash but does tend to pull—he’s just so excited to get out of the shelter and see the world! With a little patient training and a sturdy harness, he’ll be a pro in no time. He has shown a great desire to play with other dogs in the shelter and doesn't seem to have a high prey drive. As with any dog, a proper introduction to new furry friends will be necessary to help him succeed. Health & Readiness We have made sure Tank is ready for his forever home: Age: 2-3 years old Status: Neutered. Tank is heartworm positive but has started the slow kill method. All necessary medications to treat this issue will be provided to the adopter by PAWS-Hamilton County Vaccinations: Up to date on all shots and Rabies Tank is a diamond in the rough who just needs a family to help him relax and enjoy being a dog again. Could your home be the "finish line" he’s been looking for? If interested, please send an email to h4mpounddogs@gmail.com We'd love to tell you all about him. *Our ADOPTION fee is $200
