****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Animals older than six months are spayed or neutered. We are in Texas, and we transport our dogs North because Texas is overflowing with unwanted dogs. This 4-year-old Border Collie mix has a heart that’s somehow even bigger than her (admittedly) "curvy" figure. She’s been with us at the shelter for a bit too long, and she’s officially ready to trade her kennel for a kitchen floor and a soft bed. 💇‍♀️ That Iconic "Bad Toupee" Rose is famous around the shelter for her unique look. At 50 lbs of pure love, she sports a pair of floppy black ears that look like a hilarious, slightly-off-center hairpiece. It’s her signature style, and it’s guaranteed to start a conversation every time you take her for a stroll! Why Rose is the Ultimate Life Partner: The "Slow-Motion" Walker: Rose is the perfect walking companion for people who actually want to smell the roses. She’s excellent on a leash, but she has a strict "Hug Policy"—every few yards, she’ll stop for a mandatory snuggle break. The Motivational Coach: Rose is currently on a "fit and fabulous" journey. She’s looking for a partner to hit the trails with to help her lose those extra shelter pounds. She’s the only personal trainer who will pay you in kisses! Social Butterfly: Just like her namesake, she’s a friend to all. She’s been wonderful with other dogs and greets every person she meets with a wagging tail and an open heart. Master of the House: Rose is polite, appears to be house-trained, and is remarkably patient. She just wants to be where you are. 📋 Rose’s Resume: Age: 4 years young (the perfect "settled down" age!)
