Missus is looking for a calm, low-stress home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by love and consistency. She would do best with someone who is home often—ideally someone retired or working from home—since she can become confused at times due to feline dementia. Because of this, she is on medications (gabapentin and prozac), which she will need to continue, and her adopter should be understanding and patient with her condition. She may occasionally wake up disoriented and cry out, but she settles once she feels safe again. Though she has a very gentle nature and would likely be kind to children, Missus would prefer a home without small children so she can have the peaceful environment she deserves. She has done wonderfully with other cats and has been friendly and loving with all visitors she's met. This sweet girl lives for affection. Missus absolutely adores snuggling—she's a true lap cat who will happily spend hours curled up with her person. She loves being kissed on her head and will even reach up toward your face for more, as if asking for just one extra smooch. When she's not cuddling, she enjoys relaxing on her beloved heating pad or lounging in a sunny spot where she can nap the day away. While she has a playful side and will bat around a catnip toy now and then, she's mostly a low-energy girl who prefers a slow, cozy pace of life. Missus has had quite a journey. She was only recently spayed and had mammary tumors removed, and despite everything she's been through, she remains incredibly loving and trusting. Her foster mom says she will miss always having this sweet girl by her side—and it's easy to understand why. Missus has a way of quietly becoming your constant companion, always nearby, always ready to offer and receive love.
