About Bruce

This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet bruce, an incredibly resilient and affectionate 45-pound, 2-year-old male dog who is eager to find his forever home! He arrived with a significant injury to one of his back paws, but thanks to his determined spirit, he is recovering well and looking healthier each day. Throughout his healing journey, bruce has consistently shown his loving personality—he is always the first to greet you with a wagging tail, a bright smile, and plenty of kisses. A true people-lover, bruce adores spending time with humans of all ages and would happily lounge around being petted, showering you with his delightful "happy grunt"—a sound that is equal parts sweet and amusing. While he is not compatible with cats, he is otherwise a perfect companion for families or individuals who crave a loyal best friend. Bruce is already housetrained, and while his activity is limited during recovery, he will soon be ready for all the fun and playtime you can share once he is healed. He is best suited for a home where he can rest and regain his strength, so households without other pets are ideal while he finishes recuperating and his preferences with dogs are further assessed. If you've been looking for a loving sidekick with a survivor's heart, bruce can't wait to meet you! All pets from this rescue arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Bruce's adoption includes a 30-day money-back trial period. Monthly transports to the Seattle area are available for adopters who can't travel to the shelter, and contributions toward the driver's expenses are appreciated. Start your journey together!
