Humphrey is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR), but is severely malnourished. His condition indicates prolonged inadequate nutrition and places him at significant risk for additional health complications if not addressed promptly. Humphrey requires careful nutritional rehabilitation, including a controlled feeding plan and close medical monitoring to ensure safe weight gain and recovery. Due to the severity of his condition, this level of ongoing care and support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Humphrey remains gentle and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. He urgently needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive the time, nutrition, and monitoring necessary to restore his strength and overall health. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
