Hershel is a 1.5-year-old Giant Schnauzer/Terrier mix, weighing about 80 pounds and always eager to please. After a tough beginning in an overcrowded shelter, he's looking for a home with a secure fenced yard and would thrive as the only animal in the household. Hershel is incredibly energetic, and he adores scratches, massages, and staying close to his people. Hershel is searching for a human leader who can provide structure, clear boundaries, and plenty of patience. He's sweet, intelligent, and quick to learn—always motivated to pick up new commands and new ways to please! His excitement when meeting new people is contagious, but he’s working hard on greeting calmly. Hershel walks very well on leash and loves outdoor adventures, from walks to running and exploring. With a bit more practice and lots of affection, he’ll be the perfect companion and a loyal friend, ready to enjoy life at your side. As a Libra, Hershel is naturally social, energetic, and all about balance—attributes that make him a wonderful best buddy.
