Meet Toffee! He was recently transferred to us from Boston Animal Control after being abandoned. This one-year-old is full of wiggles and has an adorable smile. He’s a sweet pittie mix who loves to play, explore, and be included in everything you’re doing. He knows sit, down, and paw and loves treats so is very fun to train. Toffee loves to be around his people and has plenty of energy for adventures, followed by cuddle time. Since we do not have a history on him with children, we will not place him with kids under 12 years old. He's fully vetted and ready for a new home! The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt If a dog is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption; however, there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care. With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
