Romeo bonds quickly with people who treat him with patience and kindness. He enjoys gentle interactions and truly wants to connect. He’s social with both dogs and cats, but like many Shepherds, he can become hyperfocused when he sees other dogs and will need continued guidance to build confidence and calm responses. When given puzzle toys his anxiety decreases and his confidence shines. In fact, he once carried the entire Brick puzzle to a cozy spot, laid down, and calmly worked through it on his own. He enjoys: • Playing fetch (he prefers larger balls due to some vision difficulty) • Walks where he practices focus and loose leash skills • Training sessions in quieter environments • One-on-one time in low-traffic spaces Romeo does best in calmer settings and would benefit from a kennel or home environment with less traffic, as high activity around him can make him reactive. With structure and consistent guidance, he shows wonderful progress.
