Meet Layla (#5272) Layla was born on May 15, 2016, and was adopted as a young cat through Stray Cat Blues. After spending nine years in the same home, she was recently returned through no fault of her own. A dog introduced into the household caused Layla to become fearful and withdrawn, leaving her too scared to even come downstairs. When Layla entered foster care in December 2025, she was shut down and heartbroken. But with time, patience, and love, we’re starting to see her true self shine through again. The light is coming back into her eyes—and it’s beautiful to watch. Layla is a gentle, affectionate companion who loves sitting beside you, soaking up pets, and purring contentedly. She’s not much of a player, but she enjoys peacefully watching the world go by—especially bird-watching from a cozy window perch. Layla would thrive in a quiet, calm home with no children or other pets. She’s looking for a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and loved again.
