About Phantom
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Phantom, a mysterious and irresistibly cute companion who is looking for her forever home. Having returned to the shelter, Phantom is hoping to find a loving family who will appreciate her reserved and gentle nature. She is known to be a bit of a scaredy cat and would truly thrive in a peaceful, quiet environment. While she has previously lived with children, she kindly requests an adult-only household where she can relax and feel safe. If you approach Phantom, she may greet you with a little hiss at first, but it's simply her way of saying she's nervous and prefers a slow introduction. Once she feels secure, Phantom is playful—enjoying laser pointers and scratching posts, as well as cozying up in cat trees or hidey huts. She adores cheek scratches and affection, but always on her own terms, and will let you know when she's ready for attention. Phantom is currently on a prescription for fluoxetine to help manage her anxiety, and it is recommended that she continue this medication for life. Her ideal adopter will ensure she has all the comforts of home as she slowly settles in. If you’re ready to offer a calm and patient home, Phantom could become your most cherished companion. Stop by the shelter in Virginia Beach SPCA to meet your mysterious new friend! Think you are the one? Submit an application!
