About Ziggy

Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Ziggy. Ziggy is a curious cat who hasn't quite learned how to communicate despite her 9 years of life experience, so she is often heard grumbling, but don't let that deter you! Ziggy adores people and loves head scratches. She has lived with cats and dogs in the past but recently decided she would prefer to be in a lower stress house, therefore we recommend Ziggy be the only pet in the home. High stress environments from her past caused Ziggy to form urinary crystals, but these are easily managed with a specialized diet and she is already feeling much better! Ziggy is hoping to find a calm space, so we recommend a home with children 14+ years old or adult only home. As she is a senior lady on the larger side, our veterinarians recommend repeating her bloodwork in 6 months to ensure she is still healthy. Stop by the shelter to have a chat with Ziggy today! Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?

Questions about Ziggy

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Domestic cats are very adaptable but thrive best in loving, stable indoor environments where they feel safe. They enjoy spaces that offer cozy spots to relax as well as opportunities for enrichment and play.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Domestic cats generally do not require outdoor space and often live healthy, happy lives indoors. Some enjoy secure outdoor enclosures or supervised outdoor time, but indoor living is safest for most.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Most domestic cats can do well with respectful children, especially if they are introduced properly and children are taught to interact gently. Active, noisy households may require a cat with a more tolerant personality.
