Dream
AvailableDream is a female medium-sized Pit Bull Terrier/mixed breed currently at Virginia Beach SPCA. She is an adult, spayed, and looking for her forever family in Virginia Beach. While she’s been housebroken before, she may need a refresher in her new environment. Her unique personality makes her a wonderful choice for an adopter ready for some fun and companionship.
About Dream
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Dream! Dream was brought into the shelter through no fault of her own and is now searching for her forever home. Although she may appear shy at first, give her a little time and she'll soon reveal her affectionate and loving nature. Once you’ve gained her trust, Dream blossoms into a sweet companion who loves attention. Dream gets excited during playtime and, because of this, she needs a home where any children are at least 10 years old. She should meet any resident dogs before adoption. Introductions to new people, animals, and environments should be done gradually to help Dream adjust at her own pace. She will benefit from an adopter willing to work with her on leash manners—a harness will be helpful as you teach her. While Dream was housebroken in the past, her new family should be ready to help her relearn these skills in a fresh home setting. Dream has been around cats before and is known to chase them, so she should go to a cat-free home. Since she is part Pit Bull, please be mindful of any breed or weight restrictions if you are a renter. If you have questions or wish to arrange a visit, the kennel team at Virginia Beach SPCA will be delighted to assist. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Dream
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pit Bull Terrier mixes thrive in environments where they can be actively engaged and included as part of the family. They do well in both houses with yards and apartments, as long as they receive adequate exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A medium-sized yard is ideal, but regular walks and playtime at parks or outdoor spaces can also meet their exercise needs. Pit Bull mixes enjoy time and games outside, but can adapt to smaller spaces if their energy is managed through activity.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pit Bull Terrier mixes are often loyal and affectionate with children, but their strong play style means supervision and age-appropriate interactions are important. Many do best with older children who know how to respect a dog's boundaries.
