At 9 years old and 10 pounds, this charming Maltese mix has mastered the art of being a wonderful housemate. He’s house-trained (though he may do a little marking at first in a new space, nothing a simple belly band can’t handle!) and doesn’t need a crate. Eddie enjoys the freedom of lounging wherever he pleases, whether that’s a cozy dog bed in the bedroom or his favorite sunny spot in the house. Eddie is the kind of dog who truly loves being around people. He’s friendly, outgoing, and confident, making him an easy addition to many types of homes—apartments or houses alike. While he’s calm and well-behaved indoors, he still has a fun, playful side that shines through when he’s happy. Toss a ball, and you’ll quickly see his love for fetch! He enjoys both short strolls and longer walks, and he walks nicely on leash, making outings a breeze. Car rides, toys, and zooming around the house are all on his list of favorite things. While he hasn’t been around kids in his current foster home, he’d likely do best with calm, older children who can match his easygoing nature. Eddie can be a bit sensitive to sudden loud noises (like buses), but overall, he’s an adaptable and happy little guy who just wants to be near his people. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
