Janus is a gentle, low-key sweetheart who truly lives up to his nickname: Mr. Chill. After showing up at a busy cat dumping site on Christmas Eve, he arrived understandably traumatized from life on the street. With time, patience, and love, he has blossomed into a calm, trusting, easygoing companion. Despite only being just over a year old, Janus is a low-to-moderate energy cat who enjoys relaxing near his people, quietly observing the world, playing with his toys (especially ones with catnip!) and soaking up affection on his own terms. He doesn’t demand constant attention, he’s simply happy to share space with you. Janus would just fine as an only cat. He has liked particular cats very much, but more often he'd prefer other cats aren't around. The cats he's liked are calm, friendly female cats. Janus would thrive in a peaceful household with only adults or older children. He has not been exposed to dogs, though his relaxed personality suggests he could adjust to a calm, respectful one. He has never shown aggression and can be comfortably handled and picked up if needed, which makes him an especially wonderful companion.
