About Hazel C

*Bonded to Pumpkin* Hazel is a sweet, small, playful girl who may be very shy and scared at first, especially in a new environment, and prefers to quietly watch from a distance rather than test her boundaries. Once she has time to settle in, her loving personality truly comes out. She enjoys being played with and soaking up all the attention. New places and unfamiliar sounds can be overwhelming for her, and she copes the only way she knows how, by finding a quiet little spot where she feels safe. Although Hazel is still young, she isn't growing as fast as her colony mates have, so she may always be on the smaller side. Hazel will do best in a home with gentle tones, lots of patience, people who want to play with her often, children over the age of five, and would likely gain confidence from a friendly kitty companion who can show her the ropes. Hazel is bonded to Pumpkin. Hazel isn't the kitten who demands attention, but she loves to play and makes it known if she's chosen you. Both Pumpkin and Hazel prefer not to be around dogs, but if your dog is respectful of the cats, they will be fine as well. ---- Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners. I just joined my foster family and we are still getting acquainted with one another. Once they learn more about me, they will add more information here!
