Meet the sweetest soul named after a story of resilience and strength,. Wanda is a 14 year old, 10 pound dachshund girl who has overcome more than most. After being dumped on a busy road, she was brought to Rescue One for a second chance at life. Now, she's looking for a peaceful place to spend her remaining golden years. Wanda is great on a leash, does well with other small dogs and older children. She is not picky on either an apartment or house, as long as there's a nice comfy couch to cuddle up on. Wanda prefers to not be in a kennel, but lucky for you, she doesn't need one when left alone. Most importantly, Wanda has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. In return her medications cause her to drink and pee more often, making potty accidents hard to avoid. She would thrive in a calm environment with patience and a gentle heart to care for her until the very end. Wanda's adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
