About Lightning
Lightning started out scared and unsure, but he’s gained confidence and charm in his foster home in Buffalo, MN. He’s playful, goofy, and loves to hang around with the resident dogs—other upbeat, friendly dogs have helped bring out his silly side and would be great for him in a forever home. Toys and pets make him happy, and he’s patient with cats, so homes with dogs or cats are a good fit. He’s medium energy, buzzing around when he’s with his dog friends but pretty relaxed the rest of the time. Walks are a highlight for him, and he handles the leash well. Lightning doesn’t react much to people or dogs while out walking and usually settles down quickly when left alone. He’s mostly quiet, sometimes whining briefly after his people leave, then calming down. Potty training is in progress and improving, especially since his recent neuter. He’s had a few curious moments when on his own, but regular exercise helps. Lightning had a rough start but is learning the perks of home life.
