About Kala

Location: Hurley, SD Kala (a.k.a. Piper in her previous life) is beginning to settle into her foster home, and it's already clear she's as stunning on the inside as she is on the outside. Her coat is unbelievably soft - a shimmering blend of black, brown, grey, and gold - and her eyes are pure magic: one light blue, one marbled brownandblue, both full of sweetness and a little bit of silliness. But her heart is where she truly shines. Kala is absolutely smitten with her foster kids (ages 2 and 4). She watches them closely, follows their adventures, and is always ready to join in. Because she loves them so enthusiastically, she sometimes forgets her manners - jumping up, using her paws to play, and getting a bit mouthy when excited. She's learning, and she'll improve with guidance, but right now she'd be most successful in a home with older children who understand her joyful energy. Kala is happiest when she has a job to do. She could walk for hours - truly, she's a pro - and she carries herself with purpose and pride. When she's not out exploring, she finds peace simply being outside: doing her business, lounging in the sun, shifting to the shade, and taking in the world around her. She would thrive in a home that enjoys the little things as much as she does: fresh air, steady routines, and plenty of walks. She's still figuring out how she feels about the resident dog, but early signs suggest she may be ok with a friend at home - though she certainly wouldn't mind being the center of someone's universe either. Kala sleeps soundly in her crate overnight, settles well during the day, and is already potty trained like a champ. This special girl is ready for a family who appreciates her beauty, her heart, and her love of life's simple joys. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
