Hi there! My name is Gunner, and I’m a 10-year-old, 45-pound hound mix with a big heart and a love for life’s simple joys. I’m laid-back by nature, but I light up when it’s playtime. Toys are my jam—ropes, frisbees, tug-of-war—you name it! I’m also an expert squeaker hunter (though fair warning, once the squeaker’s out, I lose interest in the toy). I really like kids! I will fill your day with plenty of love and affection. I’ve got so much potential just waiting to shine, and all I need is a home where I can be myself—a happy, carefree dog. I’m a smart boy, too! I walk like a champ on leash, and I even follow off-leash pretty well. Plus, I’m both crate and house-trained, so you don’t have to worry about me learning the ropes. I am not good with other dogs as I don’t like to share my toys, food or water with them. Don’t worry, I’m totally comfortable with people around me while I eat and play. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. I’m currently staying in a foster home in Hampton, Virginia, but I can travel out of state for the right family (a transport fee applies).
