About Cottontail
Cottontail—sometimes known as Max—is as laid back as he is friendly. Raised with the Puppy Protocol, he’s had proper socialization around dogs, cats, and children, and he adapts well to new friends in all shapes and sizes (though, for everyone’s sake, a chicken-free lifestyle is best). He’s a big, gentle guy with a food-motivated streak, making him both trainable and eager for engagement. Manners are solid, but he’s a young dog who still needs a bit of structure; boredom leads to mischief, so he’ll thrive with a regular routine and a job to do. Cottontail was returned by his previous adopters only because he couldn’t resist the temptation of chickens. Otherwise, he’s proved himself steady and sweet—loving car rides, naps between play sessions, and even some office time. He’s familiar with basic commands, and his easygoing nature makes him a strong travel companion. While he’s not a heavy shedder, you’ll notice a bit more fur in spring. DNA tests show he’s mostly Great Pyrenees, with some chow, lab, and a few surprises mixed in. No health issues, neutered, and current on all vaccinations. He’d do best with an active family, ideally with another dog and people often at home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
