What kind of home would be best for me? Mickie would do best in a home with a confident canine companion—he absolutely loves playing with other dogs and gains confidence from them. Mickie would fit well into just about any home, no matter the age of his people, as long as they’re patient and willing to help him continue learning. He will need all the basics—house training, leash manners, and general obedience—but with consistency and love, he has all the potential to become an amazing, well-rounded companion. What is my personality like? Mickie is a Chihuahua mix with a big heart packed into a tiny body. He’s an incredibly loving, sweet boy who thrives on affection and will happily curl up in your lap any chance he gets. If you’re looking for a constant companion, Mickie is your guy—he’d be perfectly content being a full-time lap dog, soaking up all the love you have to give. He’s playful, fun, and full of charm, especially when he has another dog around. How do I act when I first meet new people? While he may be a little shy at first, once Mickie warms up, his bright, goofy personality really shines. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
