Meet Vince! Vince is a 20-month-old mystery mutt currently being marketed as an Akita. We have questions. Mainly: in what universe is an Akita 32 pounds? Because we are not buying it. What Vince actually is: compact, well-mannered, and equipped with a set of giant bat ears that seem to be picking up transmissions from another zip code. Vince is housebroken, civilized, and already understands that indoor life is not a free-for-all. He’s the kind of dog who can slide into a home and figure things out without a lot of theatrics. He enjoys his people, loves a good cuddle session, and absolutely has a silly, sweet side… but make no mistake: Vince needs a job. This boy has drive. He wants to do something, protect something, be in charge of something. He has that “working dog brain” that wakes up every day ready to clock in. Vince will thrive with a family who recognizes this and has a plan to direct that energy into productive outlets—training, structured routines, tasks, enrichment, hikes, learning commands, or anything that makes him feel like he’s accomplishing something important. He’s not a dog who wants to spend his life as a decorative couch pillow. Vince wants purpose. With people, Vince is friendly and easygoing, but he’d prefer kids who are past the small screeching phase. With other dogs, he does well, but he has standards.
