Meet Rocket – A Gentle Soul Learning to Shine Rocket is a handsome 6-year-old German Shepherd enrolled in our Shy Dog Program. Shelter life can feel overwhelming for him, but this sweet boy is working hard to build confidence—and every day he shows us a little more of his brave, affectionate side. Once Rocket feels comfortable, he truly blossoms. He enjoys gentle petting, loves attention, and will follow you around just to stay close. He takes treats with the softest mouth and is wonderfully easy to walk, making him a calm and steady companion outside of the kennel. Rocket is a loyal, sensitive dog who wants to bond deeply with someone patient and kind. With a soft approach and a peaceful home, Rocket will continue to grow and reveal the loving partner he’s meant to be. This special boy is ready for someone willing to give him time, reassurance, and a safe space to land. He’s gentle, sweet, and so worth it.
