About Crosby

Start your journey together! Apply now. Say hello to Crosby! Crosby is an 8-month-old, approximately 45-pound Catahoula mix, overflowing with puppy energy and a zest for life. With a confident and intelligent personality, he brings joy wherever he goes. Crosby delights in meeting people and dogs, and like a true Catahoula, he loves pleasing his humans and being an integral part of the family. Being a young pup, Crosby is eager to continue learning and growing, and he’s searching for an adopter who will offer the structure and guidance needed for him to flourish into a well-mannered adult. He learns quickly and loves the fun that comes with training. Crosby thrives in an environment with daily physical and mental stimulation—think large yards, toys, regular walks, or hikes. Despite his active side, Crosby also cherishes downtime, enjoying cuddles by your side or sunbathing with canine friends. He’s got a fantastic, deep bark (nothing yippy or high-pitched!) but generally plays quietly with fellow dogs, even during exciting games. Crosby is happiest in a home where people have the time and commitment for an energetic young dog, giving him lots of opportunities for play and new experiences. His loving and loyal nature makes him an instant best friend for any committed family. Because he’s still learning about manners (like not jumping up to greet people!), Crosby would be best in a home without small children, as he could unintentionally knock them over during play. He hasn’t lived closely with cats, but his reaction so far has simply been curiosity and excitement—never aggression—so with a thoughtful, gradual introduction and solid foundation in basic commands, he could adapt well with feline housemates in the future. If you’re seeking an adventurous companion who enjoys fun and also values quiet moments together, Crosby could be the perfect addition to your life. Fun fact: With a birthday on June 20, Crosby is a sensitive and caring Gemini, often known for their playful and social nature! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
