About Crosby
Meet Crosby! Crosby is an 8-month-old, medium-sized Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix tipping the scale at around 45 pounds. Heās all energy and optimismāsmart, eager to please, and happiest when heās involved with his people or romping with other dogs. Crosbyās intelligent and affectionate streaks really shine, though heās still a growing puppy in need of training, routine, and guidance to help him blossom into a fantastic adult dog. He learns quickly and is up for all the new experiences a committed adopter will show him. Crosby loves his daily adventuresāwalks, hikes, tosses in a spacious yardābut once heās burned off energy, youāll find him sprawled in a sunny spot or curled next to a friend for a nap. His bark is deeperānever shrillābut during play, he keeps things oddly quiet for such a lively dog. Regular exercise and mental challenges are a must for him. Crosby gets along well with dogs and greets new people with a happy, social attitude. Heās curious but not aggressive with cats, watching them through windows with wagging tailāthough heād need slow, thoughtful introductions if you have feline roommates. Because of his size, puppy enthusiasm, and tendency to jump (he's learning!), heās not the best fit for homes with small children. If you want a partner for active living who also knows the value of a good cuddle, Crosby is waiting in Point Richmond, CA, ready for his next adventure. Ready to meet your new best friend? Questions about Crosby
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Crosby, being a Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix, thrives in environments where he has room to move and plenty of activity. A home with a yard or easy access to parks would suit him best, especially if there are opportunities for mental and physical stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Crosby will be happiest with regular access to a medium or large fenced yard, or frequent trips to open outdoor spaces. Daily exercise and time to play off-leash (in a secure area) match his breed's active nature.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Crosby is friendly, his size and puppy excitement mean he could accidentally knock over smaller children, so he's better suited to homes with older kids or adults.
