We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Oscar! He is a 3 year old French Bulldog who weighs about 30 lbs. After a tough start in life on the streets of Tijuana, he is now all about the good life: car rides (where he immediately passes out like a pro), snuggles, and being glued to his people. This Tijuana tough guy has turned into a total softie who just wants a family to spoil him with love. He loves to eat and is not picky — if it’s edible, it’s dinner. He loves walks and is a perfect gentleman on the leash! He is a fast learner, super obedient, and pretty much goes with the flow on everything... except the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum is the only thing that brings out his "big boy bark" (a hilarious mix between a squeaky toy and a confused goose) and he will chase it around the house in an attempt to protect whoever is pushing it. He’s a mellow boy and isn’t very interested in many traditional dog toys, but he loves having a ball to push around, and he loves chewing on bully sticks. At home, he will be your ultimate Netflix co-pilot. He will curl up right next to you (or sprawl across your lap, preferably) and watch a show. Bonus: He understands some Spanish! Oscar is not easily rattled by much else — loud noises, new adventures — he just rolls with it. All he really wants is to be wherever you are, whether that’s chilling on the couch, in the kitchen “helping” with dinner, or riding shotgun in the car. When you leave him alone, he may say a few “Woofs”, but not for long. He just wants you to know he will miss you while you’re gone. Oscar likes to roam freely, but if he must be locked in his crate, he will bark for a few minutes and eventually give in. He has learned how to use a doggy door and will let himself out to go potty like a good boy. He likes to lay on anything soft: bags, clothes, rugs, etc. If you leave it on the floor, he will lay on it and fall asleep. He makes the cutest little snoring noises! He loves all people, men, women, and kids, but isn’t too crazy about other dogs, so he would prefer to be the only canine companion in the house. He does not like to share his people with other dogs. Ready to adopt a mellow, bilingual, food-loving, vacuum-dramatic, people-obsessed cuddlebug who falls asleep in cars faster than you can say “¿listo para ir?” Come meet Oscar — Your permanent shadow (and nap partner). He is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
