About Wallaby
Wallaby is a gentle, affectionate soul who’s around 4 years old and has already won over the shelter staff. He’s neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. When he first arrived as a stray, the transition left him shaken and wary, but a few days of patience from the staff brought out his playful, loving side. Now he enjoys snuggles and bursts of “zoomies” in his kennel, and it’s clear he craves connection with people even as he takes his time adapting to new situations. Mellow by nature, Wallaby still gets nervous with unfamiliar experiences or people, so he’ll do best with an adopter who can give him gentle encouragement and a consistent routine as he explores the world a little more. Ball chasing is a new favorite pastime, and with each walk his confidence grows. His experience with other pets is unknown, so introductions at the shelter are required if you already have a dog. The rescue even offers a seven-day foster period to make sure he’s truly the right addition for your home. Wallaby is ready to meet new people during open hours—just be aware of the posted kennel and adoption times. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
