About Moss

5-6 months old Neutered Male Estimated adult weight of 60-70 pounds Moss was left as a stray at the shelter, along with his "brother" Acorn. They were not reclaimed and are now up for adoption. Moss is young and requires an understanding home that will work with him on potty training, obedience and manners. Training takes work and dedication, do not adopt a young dog like moss unless you are ready to do the work. At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at no additional cost to the owner. This is one reason we have fees on the dogs to help cover the extra medical some of the other residents need. They all share the burden and the rewards. No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We typically require a meet-and-greet between any resident dogs and the dog you’re interested in adopting, to ensure everyone gets along safely and comfortably. Want to Know if I’m Still Available? Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If you’d like to show you’re thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org. Open Adoption Hours: • Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon – 6 pm • Thursday & Friday: Noon – 7 pm • Saturday: Noon – 4 pm I’m located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642. We can’t wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
