Velma is a sweet senior beagle/shepard mix who came to Furry Kids after her owner passed away. She was living with five other dogs of various breeds and sizes. She is currently in a foster home with three other dogs. Velma may take a day or two to warm up and feel comfortable in new surroundings but once she does she will be your shadow. She is content to lay next to your feet or beside you on your couch. She can be protective of her person so if you have another furry friend a meet and greet is required. A fenced area where she can run is also required. She would do best in a home with no small children. Velma walks well on a leash though she doesn’t like to have her harness put on. She is housebroken and has had zero accidents in her foster home. She sleeps in a dog pen but could also sleep in a crate (though she would love to sleep in your bed). She has shown little interest in dog toys or chews but does like treats. Overall she is a sweetie looking for her forever home and person to love. Could that be you?
