Hello, we are Mel, an incredibly handsome black & white tabby boy with distinctive white “pet me here” spots, and Misty, a gorgeous medium haired Calico girl with the bushiest tale you have ever seen. We are a brother and sister duo bonded by blood and love, born June 9, 2025. You don’t want to sleep on the M & M connection from the 303. We have been loved, coddled and indulged by our foster folks. This is Mel, and I will be introducing us to you! Misty’s meow sounds more like a high pitched Me now. It’s an attention getter! If she is feeling slighted, ignored or hungry you are going to hear about it. Misty has yet to win a game of hide and seek, cause her furry squirrel tail is difficult to get under wraps. It’s her very telling beautiful feature. Misty claims every pillow she has ever met. You will be lucky to get a corner crumb. Even if you laid your head down first. She is likely to make a lovable little weasel move and come out on top. When she really feels comfortable she has been known to lick the head she is sharing a pillow with. I (Mel) prefer laying in the crook of a curled up arm. Misty is the best big sister, she can’t be bought with treats but she will pretend to like them so I get double. Misty is the pitter to my patter. I am a one man welcome home greeter sitting patiently by the door. I can’t wait to tell you about my shift on ant patrol, and not the kind that squeeze your cheeks, the crawly kind! They never get past my perimeter. I am treat motivated and will happily lead you to where the treats are stored. I love hanging out in my tree hammock. You will find me curled up with my chin resting on the edge where I can keep a watchful eye on all the comings and goings. Neither Misty nor I are lap loungers - we are active go getters. Always on the prowl for attention and praise. When we hear our names called we respond with an adorable wide eyed look, like kittens with their paws caught in a cookie jar. We are alert, bright and happy go lucky little souls. Every game we play is a challenge issued and accepted, from running the living room gauntlet to ringing the bell mounted at the top level of our tree. We have our little sibling skirmishes but we are quick to kiss and make up. Misty is a kleptomaniac, for real. She started out small, stealing empty donut wrappers and on occasion has graduated to wrappers with donuts still inside. I quickly intercept her and snatch it before she can take it back to her lair. If you love a parade, our antics are sure to amuse you! After all, kitties just want to have FUN!
