About Julius

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Have you heard the legends about orange cats? Here’s your chance to bring home some of that famous orange-cat charm! Julius is a distinguished 8+ year old gentleman who was once watched over by caring community cat feeders in Philadelphia. When he began losing weight and seemed unwell, he was brought in for immediate help, and thanks to dedicated rescue efforts, he’s now fully on the mend. Julius is the picture of friendliness despite his time outdoors—he craves attention and flourishes with people. He has fully embraced the comforts of indoor living, snuggling on the couch and indulging in playful moments. Julius is known for his adorable game of fetch, happily bringing toys back to his humans. In his current foster home, he lives with children, and while he’s social and friendly with them, he sometimes gets extra playful with light nibbles and paw grabs. For this reason, it’s best for Julius to join families with older or cat-savvy children. He is also thriving alongside other cats and dogs, warming up well to both after a proper introduction. When Julius first arrived at the shelter, he was battling a tough upper respiratory infection that made eating a struggle. Fortunately, after a hospital stay and lots of TLC, he’s fully recovered and steadily regained his weight. Julius does have a sensitive stomach and does best on Biome food. Now healthy, Julius is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative—all set for a fresh start in a loving home. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
