About Bud
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Bud, a gentle 10-year-old Hound/Shepherd mix who found himself needing a new family after his lifelong home was gone. Bud was heartbroken and scared at first, but now he's flourishing in foster care, especially in the quieter suburbs away from the hustle and bustle. He bonds deeply with his people and proves to be an easy-going companion once he feels safe. Bud does best in a peaceful environment where overstimulation is minimized, and he needs a loving adopter who understands both his playful side and his grumpy old-man moments. With a heart as big as his 100-pound frame, Bud enjoys playtime, chasing tennis balls, and living out his golden years with dignity. He gets along with some dogs, preferring calm canine friends who can help him feel secure, and he absolutely adores spending quality time with his humans. Bud has lived through many changes, so patience and understanding will help him adjust. Due to occasional sensitivity around pain or handling, especially during vet visits or movement, Bud would thrive in an adult-only home that respects his boundaries. He is neutered, vaccinated, and recently had a dental cleaning, so he’s ready to move in. Supplements and a cozy spot in the sun will help him feel his best as he relaxes into retirement. Bud is looking for a quiet, loving home to enjoy the simpler pleasures of life. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

This breed benefits from a moderate to large yard where they can run and play, but they can also do well with daily walks and regular playtime outside if a yard isn't available.
