About Oakley
Oakley, “Oakey Dokey” to his friends, is pure easygoing charm in a 90-pound American Bulldog frame. Whether it’s a car ride, a long hike, or just being lazy on the couch, Oakley wants to be right by your side. He’s a true loyalist—when he loves you, it’s all or nothing, and you’ll never be far from his attention. If you’re looking for alone time, be warned: Oakley will do his best to be your constant companion and doesn’t see any reason why a giant dog shouldn’t be a lap dog. Oakley is great at keeping up on walks, and has a special fondness for water—he’ll leap right in if he gets the chance. Ducks and geese are just too tempting not to chase. After all that, a thorough wipe down is in order since he has allergies to grass and trees and can only have fish-based foods. But you’ll find he’s worth the extra care. He treats his stuffies and his ball like his babies, carrying them everywhere. Oakley does take time to warm up to new people, but with patience (and treats), you’ll find a fiercely loyal friend for life. He’s happiest as the only pet in the house, soaking in attention and giving twice as much love in return. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
