He showed up on someone’s property as a stray, searching for a safe place to bunker down. He found shelter in an abandoned barn and was elusive to capture. Even just the thought of what he had to do to survive in the big world all alone breaks our hearts. When he was finally caught, he melted into the warmth and comfort of his foster home. From that first day, Tanner has been a steadfast shadow in the home. He would love to have someone who is home a lot in his forever home, so he can soak in all the snuggles he missed out on during his time as a stray. Tanner loves a lap or burrowing in a blanket on the couch. While he gets along just fine with other dogs, he is a people dog through and through! He is doing well with his training and does best on a schedule. We have no doubt Tanner will be a loyal companion – all he needs is a chance!
