About Zira
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Zira is a roughly 2-3 year old Dutch Shepherd mix who exudes sweetness, cuddliness, and a gentle spirit. She is house trained and is making great progress with her basic obedience skills. Zira loves her crate and finds comfort there, making her transition to a new home smoother. Though she is very timid at first, with time and patience she is sure to warm up to her special person. Zira thrives when she has another confident dog around—she adores the company of her brother and her foster sibling, Kayto. A calm, low-activity home would suit her best, and she is happiest in a relaxed environment. Please note, Zira is not recommended for homes with young children. This lovely girl is spayed, up to date on medical care, and microchipped. As a fun fact, with a birthday on August 23rd, Zira is a Virgo—making her gentle, loving, and quietly loyal! Questions about Zira
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dutch Shepherds generally do best in homes with active families who can offer them structure, companionship, and plenty of engagement. They thrive in environments with space to move around and enjoy having a job to do or a routine to follow.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dutch Shepherds benefit from a securely fenced yard or regular access to outdoor spaces where they can exercise and burn off energy. While they can adapt to smaller homes with sufficient daily walks and attention, larger outdoor spaces are ideal.

Dutch Shepherds can be great with children, especially if socialized from an early age. Their gentle and protective nature makes them suitable for families, though supervision and proper introductions are always recommended.
