About Fat Baby
Don’t be fooled by the name or compact build—Fat Baby is a true original. This tortoiseshell dynamo lives life in bold print, flipping between tiny terror and cuddly marshmallow at her own whim. She’s got the classic “tortitude,” holding her ground and making sure her voice is heard, even if her legs are a little twisted from Manx Syndrome. She’ll need daily help with bladder and bowel care, and she’ll voice her opinions during those moments, but it’s all part of her charm. Fat Baby conquers life on her own terms, playing with the determination of a much larger cat, then melting into your lap the next second. Her social style is selective—she’s happy around cats that respect her boundaries and perfectly content sharing space with respectful dogs, who are just furniture as far as she’s concerned. Fat Baby isn’t fazed by her differences; her sass more than makes up for anything her body can’t do. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. There’s a mild heart murmur, but no signs of heart disease, and this often fades with age. Misfit Felines asks that adopters plan for either two young cats or provide her a playful feline buddy at home. An adoption package valued at $100 is available from partner stores after adoption.
