About Molly
Molly is a sturdy, spayed female pit bull mix who tips the scales at 55 lbs and is just over 2 years old. Her DNA shows a robust heritage—mostly American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier, with touches of Bulldog and Boston Terrier for good measure. With her short legs, broad head, and muscular frame, she looks as tough as she is sweet. Molly was surrendered by owners who loved her but couldn’t manage her tension with their older resident dog, despite plenty of training and effort. She has a high prey drive and strong feelings about other animals, so she absolutely needs to be the sole pet in an adult home. No dogs, no cats, no small animals. She is muzzle trained and has worked extensively on her reactivity. Despite this, Molly is a total softie with people—strangers, vets, and pretty much anyone who crosses her path. She’s easy to handle, entirely house and crate trained, and isn’t destructive in the slightest. Baths, grooming, nail trims—they’re all manageable, especially with treats. She already knows an impressive list of cues and commands, thanks to both professional and ongoing training. Athletic and full of energy, Molly loves to run, play, and would thrive in a big, fenced yard well away from busy neighborhoods. She’s suited for someone experienced in managing dog reactivity who can stick to a solid routine. The rescue will require a home visit to make sure her adopters can give her what she truly needs. Molly is high-energy, happiest outdoors, and cannot attend crowded events, but she’d do great with agility or dog sports in a private setting. She goes home fully outfitted, and her adoption fee is completely sponsored. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
