Meet Otis, a tiny 6-pound Yorkie(?) with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people 💛 At 12 years young, this sweet little guy is all about the simple joys—belly rubs, brushing sessions, cozy naps, and being as close to you as physically possible. He’d much rather lean against your leg than sit on your lap, and his favorite activities include short strolls, gentle games of fetch, and adorably dumping out his toy basket just to push it around (psst, don't tell him that's not a toy too). Otis is housebroken, crate trained, and happiest when he’s soaking up attention from his favorite human. Otis does have some medical needs - dry eyes, high blood pressure, allergies, and a kidney condition - which are all being managed with a special diet and daily medication which he takes like a champ. He doesn’t see very well, so he can be hesitant with stairs (especially in the dark) and prefers a calm, predictable environment. He’s also a bit of a hide-and-seek expert, squeezing into small spaces or under furniture when he wants a cozy retreat. Otis gets along fine with other dogs his size but may bark at bigger ones, and while car rides make him nervous, he lights right back up when heading home. He’d do best in a patient, loving home that understands his quirks and is ready to give a senior pup the comfort and security he deserves. The adoption fee is $100 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication.
