About Bernard
Bernard spent his earliest days alone under an Air BNB in New Orleans, relying on a kind guest for food and comfort. Once that trust was earned, Bernard found himself scooped up and enrolled in an adoption program, leaving behind street life for clean sheets and a full dinner bowl. He's about seven months old now, and it shows in his playful energy and the spark in his eyes. His coat is short, soft, and has a velvety 'bunny fur' feel that pretty much begs to be stroked. Bernard is affectionate on his termsāheād rather curl up beside you than get picked up or sit in your lap, though he purrs like an engine when youāre near and isn't shy about making eye contact. Heāll burrow under blankets at night, happy for warmth but more interested in gentle company than wild handling. Bernard plays hard with his toys and would thrive in a home with another friendly cat for company. He hasnāt met dogs or children yet, but he seems open to calm companions of any species. Neutered and fully vetted, Bernard is ready for a permanent sofa and a predictable dinner schedule. Click apply to start the adoption process.
