Ash is a confident boy… in a gentle, searching kind of way. He looks to his people for guidance and feels most secure with calm, clear leadership. Though technically an adult, Ash still has a very puppy-like outlook on life. After losing the only family he knew for nearly two years, he is learning what a new routine looks like — and starting over with admirable resilience and a big, hopeful heart. He is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on leash. In his previous home, he enjoyed about three walks a day, and we’ve found this routine really helps center him. Regular walks allow him to release energy and settle — he’s a much more relaxed and content boy when he has structure in his day. Ash would be happiest in an adult only home without cats, and ideally as the only dog, where he can soak up all the love and attention. He can walk calmly alongside other dogs with proper direction, but truly shines as a devoted solo companion. Ash forms strong bonds and loves being close to his person. He’s known for following his favorite human from room to room with adoring eyes and a quiet, steady presence. He will thrive with an adopter who appreciates bully breeds and can provide the consistency and leadership that helps him feel secure. A secure fenced yard would be a dream for Ash — he is absolutely obsessed with his ball and would happily romp in his very own yard! What makes Ash truly special is his enormous heart and joyful spirit. He is completely devoted to his people — adoring in a way that feels pure and constant. True to his breed, Ash is affectionate, loving, and deeply connected, happiest when he can simply be near you. He is wonderfully comfortable in his crate and even prefers it as his cozy nighttime retreat — often taking himself to bed if his foster dad forgets! Ash is also delightfully goofy and silly, with a playful personality that keeps his foster family laughing every single day. He approaches life with enthusiasm, warmth, and an open heart, and his capacity to love is truly something special to experience. Ash is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.
