Ethel – 1 year old German Shepherd mix (best guess) Ethel is a beautiful young German Shepherd–type mix who is about 14–15 months old and already has a wonderful start to home life. She’s past the tiny-puppy stage but still young, playful, and ready to grow with her forever family. Ethel was originally adopted from our program as a puppy and has been living in a home environment since then. Due to a move to housing that does not allow pets, she is returning to our care through no fault of her own. She has remained the same sweet, easygoing girl we remember. She is mellow for her age, good with kids, and does well with other dogs. She would make a lovely companion for someone looking for a young dog without the challenges of early puppyhood. Ethel is fully vetted and scheduled for a heartworm test this week to confirm negative heartworm status. She is ready for either a foster home or, even better, a forever home.
